Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place was one of her most viewed productions. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. Her birth date was July 22, 1992, on the 22nd of July in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena was the first born of her mother who was just sixteen at the age Selena. She got her first acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 when she played Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the children who performed with the most well-known historical anthropomorphic dinosaur, the purple one. Selena worked on several episodes from seasons 7 and 8 between 2001 until 2003. As a fun fact: Selena isn't the only performer to have appeared on Barney and his Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato also was part of the ensemble cast for the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various series and films following the conclusion of the show Barney and his Friends. Her auditions did not go well. She got a small role in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) as well as another role similar to Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. Also, she was cast in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a role she developed as a musical in 2006's Brain Zapped.
