Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. When she attended a 9th grade school audition, where she received praises for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. Not only did she gain confidence from the experience and gained experience, but also changed her plans for her career. In 1992, she received her degree from New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she started her professional career, making her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her greatest break came in the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. The following year, she appeared on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended version of her play. She is an activist who is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
